Where can I buy a used or new Mac laptop?

if you want something cheap, then try best buy or circuit city. but you'll get what you're paying for and i suggest to shell out the money.

There is a refurbished section of the Apple Store, but I've heard that some of the computers bought through the Refurbished section show signs of great wear. You can also check online discount retailers, such as Small Dog, Amazon, or Mac Mall, to save a few bucks on a Mac purchase. eBay is a great option if you want to look for new/used Macs/PC's, but read the descriptions VERY CAREFULLY or else you may be making a mistake of purchasing a computer off of eBay. new laptops are NOT only sold from apple. try www.macmall.com. they have cheap prices and lots of extras sometimes like free printers, cameras, accessories. amazon is good to your local carriers. ebay is good IF you know how to watch out for the chinese scams that plague it. try macmall.com. if you are enrolled in college, try the actual apple store. also, after you purchase your mac, the apple store will give you discounts on hardware and software as long as you have that college ID with you (that includes computers).
