How do i restart my computer so it has all default programs/FYI I HAVE NO RESTORE DISK?
-SYSTEM RESTORE DOES NOT RESTORE BACK TO THE POINT I WANT IT TO.
Answers:
A little more information might have been helpful, like make, model, operating system. But as you say you did not not get a restore CD (assuming it was new when you got it) I suspect the restore function is resident on your machine, if your computer lists more than one partition on your hard drive, other than C:\ I would suggest you look there.
You may have to burn a CD of the restore options from your hard drive before you can use it.
no way
Good luck... do u still have your receipt? Because your laptop should've come with one. if not depending what programs you want you can download all the drivers off of the HP website (www.hp.com.au) if office is a worry you could go with open office, fully compatible with MS Office and not a great difference in interface (i use both as i dual boot with linux) Worst comes to worst you could always inquier with HP for a set of disk explaining that your laptop did not come with any, if they dont accept that tell them you lost them (if you have to do that you may be up for a cost) hope this helped
contact HP, or read the manual. Most computers made in the last 2 years do not come with a restore disk. They put everything on a hidden partition instead. There is a combination of keys you hit while it's booting up and that will launch the restore program and restore your computer.
