not sure what sound card i have and im not sure how to check im not the most computer advanced person so if u need more info to help let me know and ill try and figure out how to get it.
so anyways whenver i play a more modern game like World of Warcraft, Medieval Total War 2 and things like that my computer freezes and makes a weird noise that comes out of my speakers. it normally happens within about 10-15 min of playing. the weird thing is that the noise isnt coming out of my computer its coming out of the computer speakers themselves. its a mix between like an airplane sound and some weird clicking. i used to be able to play all these games and now i cant thanks for the help, it started a while ago but has been gettin worse ever since.

I have never played WOW but sometimes my computer hangs like yours. When i play tiberian sun, it sometimes get stuck with the sound of a soldier continuously repeating itself. It is possible that some character in the game with an aircraft sound is doing that. it is because your sound card(or your nVIDIA) may not be upto the requirement. I am not an advanced guy either but the idea is that because you have a custom computer, it may have not struck you that the sound card should have been checked. It is completely possible to upgrade that easily without having to replace your computer .
Another reason can be the heating. My laptop shuts down easily because it gets overheated quite fast.It does this so that the internal chips do not get destroyed. If your CPU is in a small confined place, it may over heat and get stuck, causing it to freeze( It will not shut down because only laptops are designed to shut down and not PC's). LEt your CPU get a fresh supply of air. If i feel my laptops getting over heated, i place it over two books which is placed at two ends of the laptop. This allows air to flow below the laptop.
Please note that not every single laptop is programmed to shut down due to overheating
Hope you like my answer.
