What is the best computer for me?

I am basically wanting a PC to surf the web and check email but I also want to be able to store and work with pictures and maybe download music.

You can go basic. A couple of choices would be the Compaq C500 and the Dell 1501. Also check with Best Buy and Circuit City for sales on the Toshiba or HP. Just make certain you get a glossy screen.
Any computer can do this. I am pretty sure you can find computers for under $200 that will be more than sufficent for your requirements.

Then you want an inexpensive toshiba satellite, it will be perfect 4 u.
Get a cheap brand like Acer/Emachines. Or build one for cheap.
