Macbook Pro RAM Question?

I'm considering installing new RAM on my Macbook Pro. I already have a 512 mb stick in one slot, and the other is empty. Can I add a gig of ram to the other slot, while keeping the 512 mb stick in the first one?

Answers:
Yes you can. Some RAM works better in pairs, but you won't notice the difference. Try www.ramjet.com.
Look up your Macbook Pro at http://www.coastmemory.com Pick your model number from the list. If you BUY from them, they give you a great price and GUARANTEE that it works. If you decide to get rid of your 512MB stick, they will BUY it from you, so you can get a bigger stick for that position.

Keep in mind that most Macbooks MAX OUT at 3GB. That means that you can have one 1GB strip and one 2GB strip.

Good luck and Happy Computing
