Do you have to replace the entire keyboard when the rubber pad comes off?
She actually wants me to help her pay for it. She called HP and they said they do not sell single keys and that she is going to have to replace the entire keyboard (for 100 dollars).
Anyways, I feel like I am being conveniently blamed for this, (because she is one of those people where nothing can be her fault).
So my question is, can this be repaired? And is it even my responsibility to pay for it?

Why should you have to pay for something that was already broken? Only HP can say whether it can be repaired or have to be replaced. Unless this co-worker is your boss, I wouldn't give her a dime.
hmmm try this.. get a paper clip. (big side use tape to cover it. like half of the paper clip.) the other side is use to touch where the rubber was before..
Because is all about energy touching one and entering other wire for the keyboard to know it was press.. If you look at it use be 2-3 copper on the keyboard. when all touch it will send the information to the keyboard chip..
but try at your own risk.
by the way.. a FAST tap on it. with the paper clip.
