Acer Laptop in powersaving mode...?

Right, I have an Acer Asphire 3680 - And I have the monitor turn it's self off after 2 minutes, is this even worth it, I mean.. Does it actually save me money? Does it save energy?

It would'nt make a lot of difference..it would be better if you had your laptop to shut down after30" to 1 hour.
what you can do is go to the empowering tecnology section on your laptop and go to battery options in there you are able to change it from 1 min to i think 1 hour
you can change the settings as said...but yeah i think it does, especially if its not plugged into the mains it saves battery power being wasted so you can use it for longer..i dont think they would bother including this feature on laptops if it didn't actually serve a purpose.x
