Which of these 2 processors is better?

I use Photoshop, I do some video editing on premiere and want to get into 3D so I want a Processor that is not only fast but stable.

I´ve seen a couple of Laptops that have these processors...which one would you recommend of these two:

Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core mobile processor T2080 with 533MHz frontside bus, 1MB L2 cache and 1.73GHz processor speed

or this one

AMD Turion™ 64 X2 mobile technology TL-56* Processor Speed 1.8GHz for AMD dual-core technology in a thin-and-light design; HyperTransport™ and AMD PowerNow!™ technologies and improved security with Enhanced Virus Protection** System Bus Up to 1600MHz
Cache Memory 512KB + 512KB on die Level 2

Thank you for answering.

I would give the Turion X2 a slight edge between the two. Given they are similar class processors, you probably won't see much of a difference in the two in the real world. The AMD has slightly higher clock speed, faster bus speed, and splits the 1MB cache between two cores which is why I'd choose it if they were around the same price range. Either one should do the job.

If you are going to be working with 3D images then what is more important than the CPU is what kind of graphics system this laptop will have. If you can, try to avoid the cheaper ones with shared memory graphics controllers (which actually subtracts part of your main system memory and use it for video memory) and get one with a real integrated GPU built in such as a mobile Quadro or GeForce. For Photoshop, you should be fine with pretty much anything, but 3D graphics rendering will require a decent video system.
I would go with the amd on this one.
Im inclined to go with AMD for the embedded security.

Not to mention the System Bus - thats a very, very important statistic: it controls how fast data moves between your CPU and the rest of the machine. Clock speed only governs how fast data gets processed once it gets there.

533 Vs 1600? That AMD is a processing dream.
You have a lot more info on the AMD and it is a very good system, but I would go with the pentium because of the better history of product failure.
