I use prt sc on other computers with no problem. I have a new laptop for a yr and still prin sc fails to work?

Without knowing the model of your laptop I can't be more specific, but usually on laptops keys like the "PRT SC" keys have more than one function. Have you tried holding down the "FN" key, either alone or in combination with "CTL" or "ALT", while pressing "PRT SC"? Also, some laptops don't even have a "PRT SC" key.
What does your laptop's manual have to say about this? If it didn't come with one you should be able to download it from the manufacturer's website
Try using ctrl printscreen this should do it then you can paste in any paint program.
