MAC laptop?
Answers:
It sounds like the screen is the problem. You can get the screen replaced by taking it into a shop or calling geek squad or some other computer troubleshooting company
You don't have a virus. There are no Mac viruses. Do you have an iBook, or do you have a MacBook? Are you running MacOs X? If you are, try starting it up without the battery, just use the power supply. Go to your applications folder, the utlity folder and run the disk utility. Tell it to repair disk permissions and run the verify hard disk. Find the original set of disks that came with your computer, one is a hardware test. Run that.
If you have bought the Mac within a year it's still under warranty or if you have Apple Care it's good for 3 years, you should call Apple or make an appointment with your local Apple Genius Bar.
