Cannot remember log on password on 6 yr old PC Dell lap top with Windows XP Professional OS.?

Whilst the PC is restarting press F8 which puts it into safe mode,When it loads up in safe mode there be an extra user name appear called "Administer" the password for this is normally stuff like Admin, password etc. When you in go to user accounts and remove the password off the account your locked out off and restart your computer.
Reinstall xp or hack the password. I can't tell you how.
when you start it, just press f8 and start in safe mode, and sometimes there will be an unsecured administrator account that you can reset the passwords from.
f10 recovery . if you choose to save files ,you may be back to sign in trouble guessing again.
A complete recovery will have you start fresh.you'll need to get all updates and the windows advantage .if you reg. ,activated windows it should still be good.
