Why are they sellign Laptop computers on Ebay for $10-$50 AM I MISSING SOMETHING?!??!?!?!?

#2 Or more than likely, they are broken laptops that are guarenteed to NOT WORK, but they are selling the parts that possibly someone can use if they have the same laptop and need a part...
they're either really old or that is the starting price and they will come up to a normal price.

ebay rule #1: If it sounds too good to be true, it is.
There are many scammers on ebay. Be careful.
They may just be on there for parts. You should contact the sellers to see why they are putting such a low price on their items. They may also just be overstock computers that are a year out of date and they will rise to a normal price once the bidding gets underway.
They're probably amazing, high-tech laptops with 50MB hard drives, 4MB of RAM and 33MHz processors! And they even have black and white screens!
Most likely they are:
-broken and selling them for parts
-really old computers
-have a ton of issues in regards to hardware, software, etc.
-are trying to rip you off by selling you a computer (maybe with no motherboard, cpu, etc). Not a bad deal if you are technically inclined and can take it apart and build a new one out of it, but if you aren't you have just wasted your money.
If you are going to spend the money on a computer, I always shoot for something that is going to last me for around five years. You're far better off spending a bit more and getting a better quality product.
