I have the settings in "Sound" on : Audio Line In Port the volume is up all the way and when I strum my guitar no signal is being picked up. Is it busted or are my settings wrong?

Are you sure that you don't need a MIDI interface for using a guitar? Why don't you do some searches at the Apple web site?
