Has anyone gone to PC world and got the free laptop with Orange Broadband?
Answers:
It's gotta be said the Orange laptop is pretty ****. It's a cheap Chinese job.
However if you're happy to use your broadband subscription to subsidise your laptop, why not everyone does it with their mobile phone then two alternatives are:
a) T-Mobile is offering a discount on a HP laptop on the HP store if you sign-up to their web'n'walk plus mobile broadband package
b) Carphone Warehouse is giving away a DELL laptop with it's AOL broadband
Both of the above are better than the Orange deal!
I wouldent want orange broadband, Even if it did come with a free laptop (The laptop will be rubbish anyway)
The broadband costs £15 per month, So that will cost you £340 for broadband and a free laptop, It will be rubbish.
Also you will get the worst customer service in the world.
not done it but if you upgrade by 20 pounds the laptop can use vista whitch is quite high spec...but its a 24 month contract
I went to PC World and spent 30 minutes standing around trying to catch the eye of a salesperson but no, they were more interested in their personal conversations and didn't seem interested so went elsewhere.
Typical scenario apparently, so I hear!
It's an Ei Systems 3101 laptop with xp home, 256mb ram and a 40gb hdd. Not really good specs these days. Plus, the Orange Broadband package only offers a download speed of 2mb, with a download limit of 2gb - and the contract is for 2 years.
a rip off
dont do it a con youd be stuk in a 2 year contract with limited download and laptop rubbish
Read the smallprint when you get their. (CON)
