I have a Lenovo 3000 V100 with Intel Core Duo T2250 @ 1.73 Ghz. 32 bit OS. Can I replace it with Core 2 Duo?? how about the new Santa Rosa platform??
Answers:
yes u can replace it, but by u i mean the lenovo repair center, and it will probly be around $350-400 or more, i would suggest a new ltop, and selling your current one
the santa rosa also uses a new chipset so u wont see any improvement since the only added benifit of the sr chips is that the chipset can use solid state drives as ram extensions, so it wont do u any good to upgrade
some cpu's can be replaced in laptops and many cannot. However unless you have experience in repairing laptops, I would suggest you get a professional to do it/
