Sony Vaio PCG-Z1X/P from Japanese to English Windows XP?

i just bought a relatively new Sony Vaio PCG-Z1X/P in Japan and i want to convert the japanese windows OS into an english one.

i tried customizing the regional and language options in the control panel unfortunately, it just messed up the japanese text.

do i need to install a new english windows xp? how about the drivers?...any suggestions?

yes you will need an english version of xp and the english drivers.
You need to do a fresh install of English Windows XP. As for the drivers, you can download them on line (at Sony's website) or after installing the OS, run update and it will find needed drivers for your computer.
