Dell hard drives?
Answers:
desktop h/ds won't bwork internally in a laptop but from what i've seen most laptop h/ds are the same size. don't be fooled by the holder it's mounted in from what i saw on another post today the dell csx is'nt worth replacing the h/d in. unless it was given to you free and you can get a good price on a h/d off e-bay = sniping is the way to buy on e-bay cheap.
i think laptop ones are thinner, might not work. try it anyway
I have used a Dell hard drive from a different model, I just measured the size of the new one & only had to change the little plastic piece from my old one to the new one & installed it. It's working fine.
the HDD are normally made by companies like Seagate.
I was going to buy a HP laptop HDD for £100 until I seen the exact same, (as it was made by seagate) for £55.
