USB2 adaptor?

Does anyone know of a gismo that makes USB1.1 into USB2 on a laptop.
I have a spare TV stick that I would like to use on my older laptop but it is only USB1.1
Thanks

Answers:
That gizmo is a PCMCIA card with USB 2.0 ports.

There is a lot here.

Of course your old laptop must have PCMCIA slot.
You cannot change it because it is hardware. Physically integrated into the motherboard of your laptop.

If you really need USB 2.0 then I advise you use an adaptor of some sort. If your laptop has a Card Bus then you can get one for that.

There's only 2 ways to do this on a laptop:
1) Add a PCMCIA Card that has USB 2 port(s)
2) Dock the computer into a docking station having a PCI slot and add a USB 2 PCI card to the docking station.

Option 2 is not available for most laptops, and option in't available on all (but it is on most).
