Answers:
Yes, all you need in your computer for that Router is the Networking Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
You can run with the WIRE, or Wireless. I recommend using the wired setup at your regular desk, where the router is. It's just a bit more reliable. But place your Router at a spot, where brick walls and/or chimney is not blocking the direct "line of sight" to the other places in your house where you would use it. So look at that office position (as if through walls) from your porch, kitchen, living room.
Good luck and Happy Computing!
yes
Yes, Vista is very easy to network and will work with your equipment.
Short answer is yes, that router should work fine. Now is your internet dial up or DSL? I am not familiar with what at&t yahoo provides. If it is DSL hookup is easy. Simply plug the modem box (the one that the internet comes from) into the back of the router and it should work. You might want to install wireless security on the router as well but thats not super necessary. You should be able to find a good tutorial online if you choose to.
well the first thing you should be asking, is should i have vista installed on my new computer,,,
now some will tell you Yes
and some will tell you No
The question is who do you take notice of,
the thing is Vista is having a lot of problems, with all the bugs, and the only way for you to decide this option is to find out all you can about Vista and it's problems,
do a web search on vista on it's bugs, PC magazines are telling it's readers not to touch vista until the first service pack is released some time next year.
for your other questions have the SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support! installed
any wireless router will fit the bill. but go for the new N version router. that way you will be one step in front, with technology.
I work for at&t tech support and the router is compatible with the service all you have to do is plug it all in and when u try to get online now it might depend on whether u have a 2wire routher if u verse u do if dsl its 2wire or speedstream and you just have to view available wireless networks and get the security key off the modem which on uverse is the wep encryption key on sticker lower left corner on side or dsl on the bottom of modem the one in brackets any questions email me at michellemyers85 at yahoo
try vista
