The mid section of the keyboard on my laptop is not working, any ideas?

If you have the right screwdriver, you may be able to part the top and bottom casings of your laptop (if it is out of warranty, of course) and give the ribbon cables connecting your keyboard a gentle push into their sockets. If they are directly soldered, look for cracking in the solder indicating a dry joint and with a steady hand and fine tipped iron you may be able to reflow the solder. If your construction skills are not up to it then a trip to a professional repair shop may be in order. It will be about £45 just to open the case and at worst a new keyboard which will probably be as much again.
the cable that connects the keybord to the lapto maybe loose or worn out either wayit would be a pain to repair, one other thing to check is to see if u have a virus that could be doing that
You probably need to get a good professional cleaning. Sounds like there's debris accumulating under the keys. I get that from time to time. If it's just a few crumbs, I can usually pry them out with a toothpick, or sometimes I can vacuum the gunk out. If you can't clean under the keys easily, take the machine to a good computer repair shop and ask what they would charge for a thorough cleaning.
