Is their a way to downgrade a laptop to Windows XP once you purchase it?

Shop around and be firm with whoever's selling the computers -- you're the customer, it's your dollars, and if you can't get what you want (namely, XP instead of Vista) you'll take your dollars and go elsewhere.
If you end up having to buy a laptop with Vista, you can buy the XP install disks separately (make sure you get a retail version if you do this, not OEM) and then install XP. You would just have to boot the computer from the XP CDs, tell the installation program that you want to repartition and reformat the hard drive, and then proceed with installing XP.
With a brand-new computer, there might be some issues with some hardware not being compatible with XP. If that happened, you'd have to go hunting for drivers. Other than that, it should work fine.
If you totally clear the hard drive you can.
The most of company will use Vista OS right now. But if you can install it by yourself, you can download all drivers about your laptop online then install a windows XP. I also do something like that. It works fine and better than Vista OS. If you want a lower price laptop, you can check the online store which provide you a good quality computer and ship to you faster.

well you will need a windows XP disk and just insert it and it will will prompt you and in my personal opinion i would do a clean install and it will walk you through the steps so just insert the disk and pick clean install
