How can you install a video card in a laptop and can you?
Answers:
all video cards on laptops are integrated. <as chipsets>. or Shareable. you can't install video card onto laptop.
but thank you for 2 points
You can't. The video cards for most laptops are built in. I've heard that some manufacturers are going to start using a modular video card so that you can upgrade later, but I don't know for sure if anyone's doing this yet.
The Video Card of a laptop is part of the Mother Board and is not a separate item.
Yes, it is possible to install a video card in to a laptop, but to do so you usually need to have the exact correct video card model and design. In addition some laptops use integrated graphics, which means the graphics chips are soldered directly to the motherboard and are not removable.
For all intents and purposes video cards in a laptop are sometimes replaceable, but not upgradeable.
The exception to this rule would be some of the newer laptops with upgradeable graphics architecture, or where two video cards share the same connection type and form factor.
For example, check this list of Dell laptops and their upgrade statuses:

As far as HOW you install the video card you need to:
1) Unplug the laptop
2) Remove all drive bays and batteries
3) Unscrew the screws on the bottom panel
4) Look for stickers placed as to hide screws - usually a laptop will have one or two of these to indicate if they have been opened (opening up your laptop this way voids your warranty)
5) Before going any further be sure to have an anti-static bracelet on and properly grounded - or be sure you've been grounded using another method
6) Remove the insides one part at a time - for my laptop I had to remove the wifi card for example
7) Unplug the video card, memorize how it is currently placed, then remove it and place it in an anti-static bag if the card is not broken
8) Insert the video card and reconnect its wires
9) Replace the insides one part at a time
10) Replace all screws
11) Reinsert all drive bays and batteries
For more info you should obtain the repair manual for your laptop from the manufacturer.
