A Question for all you computer nerds out there!?

Sony and dell's are horrible computers, I am a technician, and I see dell's coming in with glued on parts; because dell is too cheap to fix them. Dell also makes Sony’s laptops. Dell uses cheap parts; and used memory in their computers. The list will look like this:

2. Toshiba
3. leveno/ibm
4. Acer
5. Gateway
6. Sony
7. Dell
Over 90% of computers I work on are dells, and Sony’s. Acer’s have great feature sets, and give you great battery life. Acer is also the fourth largest computer manufacturer in the world
Thank you naivetheidiot09, and yes I am, obviously Sony has their own (fashion) design, but they still use dell to make the parts, Sony just pays for a little more pizzazz.
I have been in the computer industry for a long time, trust me. You may have had problems with those brands, but they were most likely defects. Toshiba and hp use such high quality parts, that they barley make anything off the computers. Gateway has a 65% mark up from what it originally costs, and their customer service/support center is horribly incompetent. They deserve to be where they are, I own stocks in none of these companies, nor am I directly affiliated with them.

I bought an Acer 5100 laptop and I haven't had any problems with it. When I did the comparison to others, it was well worth the price that I paid. I don't know about tech support (b/c I haven't had to use it), but from a standpoint of function and price, it was well worth it.

that person is wayyyyyyyy off. sorry but you dont know what your talkin about. you cant sit there and call acer a knock off apple. that jus doesnt even make sense for so many reasons.
This is the second question about acer laptops to be rated as good or bad. And people have mixed feelings about DELL. A computer is not only the hardware but also look into the service support for it. I have a SONY VAIO but I can't get updates for it because though the server connects, the patches can't be downloaded because the server is busy. But apart from it, the laptop is very beautiful, the screen is great but only the price costs a bit more than a TOSHIBA. For the people who say DELL builds SONY laptops, are you sure about this? I've seen DELL's laptops and the build quality is so so. There are other brands out there like ASUS which have a rich feature list, and powerful as well. You're always going to get people's view being different because experiences are varied. I still rate Sony as being at the top of the list whilst other brands like ACER and LG towards the bottom end. But then again, that's my opinion.
