What laptop do I need to buy?

A decent sized hard drive and memory amount. Minimum is 2G of memory and 120G drive. Since you are going to be spending a lot of time looking at it, check out the 17 inch screens. HP and Acer both make a system like that with expansion of up to 4G of memory. Acer offers what is called Grid Vista that allows 4 independent windows to be displayed at once on the screen.
Alienware laptops are (by common opinion, not mine) the very best.
