Computer crash?Compaq Pressrio..bought Nov.05?

My computer comes but the arrow doesn't move at all. I have tried the pad and also the mouse but it just does not move. I have cleaned the pad on the computer and it STILL doesnt work. If there anyway I can get the computer working again without having to call someone in?

If you bought the laptop new, I would strongly recommend contacting the manufacturer as it is still under warranty.
If someone else messes with it you may void the warranty.
Restore ur system by using option System Resore
1.Start
2.programs
3. Accerssories
4.System tools
5.System restore

use your system recovery CD. & reinstall through CD.
If I understand you correctly and neither your touch pad or an external mouse will move the cursor arrow, then your computer may be hung. Try control alt delete to see if that does anything but if not I think you really will have to call someone in.

Speaking as an "independent" myself I recommend you try to find an independent computer repairer rather than one of the large chains, which tend to overcharge.
