ACER Aspire with 80GB, 3.0GHZ--any good?

Its tough to say, you don't give any detailed specifications. 80GB hard drive, but what type? SATA? SATAII? IDE? 3.0Ghz chip, what make and model? If It's a 3.0ghz Core 2 Duo, your computer will be awesome. If it's a 3.0 Pentium, not as good.
And what are you primarily using it for?
Acer is a budget brand. 80GBs are ok you want 2GBs of RAM for Vista. Do not know what 3.0 GHZ means.
