My laptop screen has no colour and is very dull?

To test if your screen is the problem or the Video Card is the problem =
Plug up a monitor to the video port on the back of your laptop.
if the video show good on the monitor then it is your screen.
If the video is poor then it's you video settings or Card.
Also you would need to do fn+f5 or fn+f8 to turn on the video going out the video port in the back of your laptop.
You probably have a 3 year warrenty, call tech support and they're give you a new laptop. make sure you save all the files you want be4 sending it in though, they're going to give you a brand new pc probably.
Is this a dislike of the laptop or actually a problem with the graphics? You really haven't given us any information to help you further. Try and explain please.

depends on how old could be the battery failing if on the mains the screen may need to be replaced
Sounds like the LCD backlight has gone faulty, as the first poster points out, you'll need to send it back, if it's out of warranty.sorry, you have a duff laptop.
its called black and white kiddo haha. check your video setup maybe somethings changed ...did you download something?
