I will say HP TX1000 but both are pretty much the same.
JD power and asc. rated gateway as the best tablet pc brand of 06, i would stick with it=]
Hey both the PCs are extremely good.
But i prefer the HP TX1000. Cz it has that touch screen option u told about and after all HP is a VERY GOOD BRAND.
I can't tell you anything about the Gateway, but I have the HP and it's absolutely amazing. It hasn't caused me any problems so far (and that's saying a lot for a computer)
I'd go with the HP. It's got a faster CPU, larger hard drive and has NVidia graphics which are better than the Intel graphics found in the Dell.
The HP also comes with Vista which provides better functionality compared to the Dell which comes with XP Tablet PC edition.
