Laptop won't turn on.?

My sony vaio laptop won't turn on even though the ac adapter is plugged in the light indicator does not flash. No lights flash whatsoever. I need to access my files. Please help. Also the last time i was using it I received a blue screen that said I needed to restart.

You may have a serious problem, get yourself a cheap 2.5" drive enclosure and take the hard drive out of the laptop. Install the hard drive in the enclosure and connect it to another pc to retrieve your files.
Put your plug in.
your OS is damaged, if your using XP try to reinstall by using the XP installer and follow instructions on how to repair existing windows installation
if you plug your laptop but has no power better check your adaptor
it must be either:
1. problem with the battery, it might be expired already
2. problem with the laptop, check your nearest computer service
3. virus has attacked ur computer

you can also check it by holding F8 while turning it on
