My laptop is getting hot on the left side of touch pad mouse and also on top of touch pad mouse..not too hot?

Believe it or not, this is normal. Unfortunately, the hardware makers of the CPU and electronics have not figured out a way to keep laptop computers from generating heat. HP, Dell, Lenovo... They all have the same problem. Sometime, I think I could fry an egg on my keyboard!
Staples, Office Depot and Best Buy sells a laptop fan that fits on the bottom of the laptop to cool it down. Personally, they're more of an inconvenience.
Another way to keep it cool is not run the CD/DVD drive, play music or do some CPU intensive items when you are typing on the keyboard. Most of the heat is generated by the CPU, so the less processes you have running, the less work for the CPU and the cooler the laptop.
Good luck!
laptops are natually generate a lot of heat bc of all the components being so closed. make sure that you hear teh fan running. also the laptop should be a few inches off the table so that air can flow in and out. make sure the inlets are not clogged or obstructed. you can find out the inlet and outlet by looking about the shell.
you might have kept ur laptop on any heat absorbing surface or heat retaining surface. try it at any other place or u can say wooden surface. probably ur problem get resolved.
