My friend has a mac book white and showed me that there are a shortcut buttons to press which makes the screen flip 180 degrees and a clean desktop appears. You can also flip back to orignal screen with you other applications. I dont know what the controls are. Also will the black mac book have it. Anyone who can help would be more than greatful

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that that functionality exists on Mac OS 10.4 - you're friend may be running an advance copy of 10.5 (not yet commercially released), or running a third party piece of software, in which case it'd be specific to that software.
Alternately, your friend may have been booted into another system on his mac, as I know a number of Linux distributions have the sort of desktop switching you're referring to.
