Laptop Help?
Is paying the extra $150 for the Intel C2D worth it, or will I be able to do the same with AMD processor? I just don't want to spend the extra money, since I am on a slight budget, if it is not necessary.

The turion is better at that price. That is not the best Core 2 duo. If you want to play games make certain it has a dedicated GC.
Actually the AMD is the one better for ur specifications.the price diff is only because of the INTEL...and may be a slight processor speed diff.AMD is good for ur specifications..Go for it..Best Wishes
yes it's worth it runs cooler than the amd chip and has better performance
AMD processors are a little behind in mobile technology, but it is still workable and i believe it will work fine for your needs. If your looking for top performance and multi-tasking, Intel C2D is a must. I got an intel centrino duo featuring Intel Core Duo w/ 2 Gb of ram and its fantastic. Its up to you, good luck with your decisions.
I think the Intel Core 2 Duo is better and faster, so the difference in price. Check the spec's and speed for both at the computer store and decide. You can also contact customer support and check on differences.
Hope this helps
The AMD processor that says X2 should be a dual core processor, and they should be just about the same.
