You're not gonna find a 2-300 dollar laptop anywhere, at least not one that's worth having. It'll be used, and quite old. Save up a little more for the laptop.
You should probably get the laptop so you can use the iPod. You need a computer to use the iPod.
Buy the laptop and then get a summer job to pay for the iPod.

Well, you can't use the ipod unless you have a computer...so I would get the lappy first. Wait till later for an ipod. Ebay has some nice lower-end PII and PII windows xp systems, that are refurbs that are about 50-90 bucks. REALLY cheap, and will last for quite awhile~!!
i would invest in a little better laptop then 2 or 300 dollars because you need something thats going to last a while and keep up with the times.
like everybody else laptop first, it makes sense. But I was first going to say get an ipod first just cause if your planning to spend 2-300 on a laptop, for that money you could get an ipod with lot of memory instead. Either you spend at least 600+ on laptop or just get an ipod and borrow someone else computer that can give you lots of songs, music, and pictures for your ipod.
