Where is the sound on my computer gone??
Answers:
You will have to check in your control panel - System - device manager - and check if your sound driver is there or has an exclamtion mark. If so, you'll need to to Update or re-install your sound driver. Another option is go to Start - Run - type services.msc - Scroll down to Audio and check if its set to Automatic and its started.
Check this in your Laptop
1- your system has integrated audio, verify that the sound is enabled in the BIOS Setup Utility.
2- You use the internal speakers maybe they are bad, try if you can external speakers, make sure that they have power and are turned on, then try to check audio with them.
3- In the operating system's Normal mode, check Device Manager to verify the following:
* Everything is properly installed.
* No audio or media devices are listed under Other Devices.
* No red x on a device (device is disabled).
* No black exclamation with a yellow background (splat) marking the device (device is in an unknown state).
If you find some of this problems, try to install the audio driver again, with the original cd kit, some cd kit come with a nice wizard software tool for this.
If you can't get audio again, maybe a audio device in your laptop is dead, it could happen.
