HP, acer is normally cheaper, the graphics is better on the acer depends on what you want it for, i expect the acer is wifi, used to work for comet, and the only laptop without was 299! hp come with more software, for these prices i would go for HP, if you can find better prices, which is likely, then the acer

It depends if you're going to use it for gaming. The Acer has a superior graphics chip, so would be better for gaming. If you're willing to spend that amount of money on a laptop I'd suggest you take a look at the Rock Extreme range at www. rockdirect.com
