Macbook monitor won't turn on!?
Answers:
That's exactly the same reason why I returned my MacBook!
I had the same problem. It stated 4 weeks after I bought it. I was ok with my purchase, when all of a sudden, it just wouldn't turn on.
I tried giving it to AppleCare to help, and they were nice the first time. But the 2nd time, they said my coverage didn't work, and that I would have to buy a new MacBook. Such cheaters! I was so angry. This costed a lot.
So I had to search all over the city for a Mac fixer, and he did it right. I never had the same problem again, unlike AppleCare who can't fix a simple problem.
In the mean time, I bought a brand new Sony Vaio with Windows Vista, and I've had no problems at all. I've got the best anti-virus (Live OneCare) protecting it, high-speed internet, and it's all great.
I encourage you to step above the Mac, and head straight for the high-end/mid-range PC's.
Good luck to you.
@Henry M: You are aware that AppleCare, or the shop isn't that helpful. They're just pretending. Most Mac users ooh and ahh over it, just because they look nice. But on the inside, they're not.
Take it to an apple shop, not any random computer shop, make sure its apple, they are usually very helpful, the tip they will probably give you is to reinstall the OS, this will usually work.
Good Luck
