I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and my sound just suddenly stopped working. Help? (On XP Not Vista)?

Okay, I asked a question earlier but most answers were for PCs and such. I've tried to restart multiple times, and still nothing. I'm having a hard time finding a driver I'm supposidly supposed to re-instal but I'd also rather avoid doing that if there is another way. Can't I get my computer to find the problem somehow? Or possibly a more simple quick fix?

Answers:
Install the audio driver from the recovery cd
your gonna have to reinstall the driver. goto this site and click on downloads then select ur satellite model. then browse for the most recent sound driver.
