I was told by my brother in law that the blue tooth devices are slowly being phased out and it will be used for things like bluetooth mouse, headsets, etc and not for data transfer as it isn't secure in any way.
In fact it is safer to have the device turned off and only use it when you need to.

i have a bluetooth button on my acer aspire 5100 but has not got bluetooh device does the light come on/off when it swiched over if not then its not got the device in the laptop but can be up graded at cost lol all you have to do is serch for devices on your phone or laptop then pair them
