How much is a difference of .20 GHZ in processor speed worth in choosing a laptop?
Answers:
Clockspeed in CPU nowadays is not important since CPU performance depends on other things. You won't even see any difference in performance between these 2 cpus on your laptop.Unless you need the webcam i would go with the cheaper one since you can add more RAM to it for about $50, right?. More RAM will always be the cheaper and better way to upgrade your pc performance, especially with Vista.
It's tough to answer this question without knowing what you intend to use the computer for.
If you are using it for things like video editing and programming, then you would benefit more from the faster processor.
If you are using it just for music, movies and internet, then you would not see much of a difference between the two processors.
Drop vista, you dont want it. It looks nice, but in the long run you will be annoyed by all the little popups reassuring that this is what you want, and is this allowed and bs like that. Anyways .20ghz faster you wont notice a difference. Ghz means nothing anymore. 1gb of ram is plenty for vista anyways.
I would personally recoomend u the later one which costs u 600$
for ur usage that u have mentioned the .20Ghz speed wouldn't reall be noticed
if u are going in for heavy usage then u should really bother about ghz like if u go in for 3Ghz sppeds would vary heavily but not in .20Ghz u can't notice them for ur usage
like Itunes, browsing , word or office editingand things on like that
seconldy reagrding webcam if u really in need of it go in for that or else u can buy a separate webcam
my personal opinion is since i dont use a webcam i would be happy with one laptop that doesnt have a webcam itself
