Replacing laptop's lcd screen with another unused laptop's lcd screen?

I have a cracked lcd screen and i am thinking of replacing it with the lcd screen on my other unused laptop. This probabally is not possible but i dont know. What things would i need to consider?

Main thing is that they have to be the same model of laptop...

You didn't mention what's wrong with your other laptop..., you know, why it 'unused'...

If it's broken in some other way, swapping screens is a great idea.

I have removed plenty of laptop screens, just some patience and being careful popping out the tiny connectors on the motherboard.

If the other laptop is working, just 'unused'... you should consider buying a flat screen monitor. That's way easier to attach.
screens wont have conectors that are the same so diff models wont be easy to swap, that said youre on somethign to nothing so try...carefully
