What are some products I could use to play PS2 on a laptop?
I want a product that is inexpensive ($0 to $30), reliable and good quality.
Answers:
First off, if you didn't know there were PS2 emulators out there, chances are your laptop does not have hardware good enough to run the games, so I'm pretty sure an emulator will not help you.
Your video card needs at least 256MB of Dedicated Video Memory(note, not shared, nor integrated), and at least a 2GHz processor. If you don't meet those two requirements, forget about the emulator. If anything lower than that, the games will run, but you'd be getting about 5 frames per second.
Since you asked for a product between ($0-$30), I'm going to guess you already have a PS2, and are looking for hardware to hook it up to the laptop.
If you PC didn't come equiped with an internal TV tuner, it is almost impossible to expend less than $30 in hardware.
In the case you computer did have a built in TV tuner, with a coaxial input, then all you would need is an RF-modulator($29.99 at radioshack). You would hook up the Red, Yellow, and White cables coming from the PS2 to the modulator, and then would run a coaxial cable from the modulator to the PC

If your laptop did not have an internal TV tuner, then you would need an external tuner that hooks up using a USB connection. However, once the signal goes into the computer, it will not go directly to the screen, instead, it will go to the processor, and then to the screen. That process takes time, and chances are the game will lag, and you will not be happy. Needless to say, an external USB TV tuner runs for about $70 and up.
