I am getting the blue error message when windows try's to start (dell c400) no cd/rom or floppy.?

if i replace the hard drive, will this fix the problem? or will i get the same blue error screen?

ya look at the code it could be as simple as reseating the memory in its slot
Blue screen of death, means one or more of the system files are hosed. Replacing the hard drive, you will not have anything cause the operating system will be on the old hard drive. How will you load Windows.

Need to find a CD drive and the installation CD to fix it.
