How do i do a re-install of xp on an HP laptop w/out the orignl windows xp installation disk is there any way?

If you have a new copy of Windows, you should be all set. A re-install requires formatting (unless you partition the drive), so you should be weary of losing all your files.
nope...either get system recovery Cd or original windows XP CD with cd key
