I bought a Dell laptop with NVIDA GFORCE 8600MGT card. Resolution is very low on SonyBraviaLCD tv..? Y ?

I got the latest card and drivers, but the resolutoin dose not go too high on my Sony Bravia LCD tv...? Y is ths pls let me know...I have an older laptop with older NVIDIA card but its resolution goes much higher then my new Dell Laptop.Y is this, pls let me knwo...

it's not your computer setup, it the moitor, or in your case, the TV. The thing with using LCD tv's as a monitor is the bigger you go, the worse your max resolution gets. Check the specs on your model. If you don't have the manual, look it up on bestbuy or somewhere that sells it. If you want big AND high resolution, you'll need to be ready to pay extra for it. A good 30" is Dell's ultrasharp, retails for $1500.
hey dude, how is the nvdia 8600 gmt, is it good for high end games, i am planning to purchase a laptop which has one . I would like to hear your opinion
