Can somebody explain to me what is " Genuine Intel (R) CPU" ?

I know about Intel Core 2 Duo, Core Duo, Centrino, Pentium 4, AMD Turion, AMD Athlon etc. But im not very sure what Genuine Intel (R) CPU 1.73Ghz is? What i know, it is a kind of processor. But what kind of processor? Which category? What processor i can compare with? How about the performance? Please explain to me... Thank you..

Answers:
it is probably an early P4 or its re-branded celeron equivelant. If you knew what socket, it would be easier to tell you what "exactly" it is, but genuine intel cpu is just a generic description of usually a "low-end" p4 or celeron chip.
