Does spy bot use less ram?

well i have only 224mb of ram and i have xp some people that i know say that soybot is really good so want to know before i donwload it and also it is free and is it a red download??

Spybot Search and Destroy is free and is a good scanner and remover as well as real time protection.
Running a scan uses about 1500 k of RAM.

What the point you scan it when you need to. So you want spy free computer or spyware computer.
Spybot is an awesome program that gets rid of all kinds of spyware. It even ran on my old, old computer, with 6 GB of hard drive and 64 MB of RAM. Get it!
spybot search and destroy is a scanner, not a blocker. it only uses ram when you launch it and tell it to scan. It's a pretty good scanner. I use it and ad-aware, which is a similar program once a week, and I reccomend you do as well/
