Dell internet access help?
Answers:
Go into Control Panel/Networks and look at the installed devices. There should be one for the wired connection. Right click it and make sure it is Enabled. Right click again and select Properties. In the box that opens, double click onhte line that has TCP/IP. When it opens, make sure it is set to automatic and on the lower part the selection for DNS is not checked. OK out of everything and connect the cable to the modem or router and it should work. When you get it up, go to the Dell web site and check support area for any driver updates needed. One other thing to do is go into IE and click on Tools/Internet Options/Connections. If there is anything listed in the box, goto the Setup button at the top and run a setup for a Manual/direct connection. Don't bother with the last step for creating a CD. In the connections tab, select the Lan Settings at the bottom and make sure no prixies are selected.
