if i were you i would get in touch with dell support abd let them tell you how much ram it will hold,and get it from dell.lots of times i have seen folks buy ram and the system will not reconize it,this is info only dell support would know,one time i got a 1gb ram foe my gateway laptop,i had 756 in it ,and then found out the system would not work with over 1250 ram,so you have to know all the facts before you order
