IBM thinkpad R51?

i just got it and it seems fine. i know its old but its a really good computer. but my friend gave it to me so i don't know how to do anything on it. how do i turn on keyboard light? and how do i use the blue button? anyone still out there know about thinkpads? please and thank you=]
