I really like my acer and its windows vista. But on the bad side the battery length is not as long as others. other then that its good and is cheap from walmart
The New Dell computers or the new black toshiba
Well if you dont want to use your laptop for multimedia or gaming, you can get just about any laptop. Heres some specs which you should get : intel/amd dual core processor, hopefully 1 gig of RAM, CD/DVD burner, wireless card.
I would recommend Windows OS: Mac OS Apple really only comes on their computers, which are around $1,500 to 2000, and you dotn want to use Linux unless you are very computer savy
You can get an entry level MacBook for $999 at the Apple education store. They throw in a free iPod Nano. It comes with iLife 08 which is iTunes, iPhoto, iDvd, iMovie, Garage Band, Safari etc. It has a basic text editing program. You should probably add Word (for mucho dinero) or iWorks 08 which will read and write Word, Excel and Powerpoint files, costs about $80. The MacBook is wifi ready out of the box and you don't need anti-virus software. You might want to upgrade to a superdrive so you can also burn DVDs. The entry level MacBook burns CDs, plays CDs and DVDs. So for around $1200 you have a laptop that you won't have to stress about. The MacBooks are top rated at Consumer Reports for battery life and tech support.
I would highly recommend a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. I have one, and I love it. You should get one.
Dell and Toshiba's computers you can opt for. Apart from that you can buy Sony VAIO, HP Pavillion and Apple MacBook Laptops.
Windows Vista or Mac O/S both are good whcih are provided with these laptops.
Buy from a nearby store would be better for you. If you still insist on buying online then you can have it free by purchase of a global leather brand. Just click on the link below and visit the Promotion section in the opened page.
